Carla Kihlstedt (born )^[1] is an American author, violinist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, key from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and not long ago working from a home bungalow on Cape Cod.^[2]

She is shipshape and bristol fashion founding member of Tin Outdo Trio (, renamed Tin Hat), Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, The Tome of Knots, Causing a Somebody, and Rabbit Rabbit.
